My name is Maria, and I am 26 years old.
I am currently studying at Cphbusiness Academy, pursuing a degree in Multimedia Design. I have a deep passion for photography, videography, design, and travel. Although I was born in Denmark, I spent my childhood between Denmark and Spain.
My biological father has resided in Spain with his Spanish family for most of my life, while my mother remained in Denmark.
In 2018, I had the opportunity to volunteer in India, where I worked at two tent schools. During this time, I lived in a small coastal city with a local Indian family and contributed to underprivileged communities by teaching young children fundamental subjects such as English, mathematics, geography, writing, and hygiene. This experience broadened my perspective on education and cultural diversity..
Prior to my studies, I worked in the travel industry for over five years. I was employed by Scandinavian Airlines as a Passenger Service Agent, a Gate Agent - and, for approximately one year, was lend out to Air India, where I conducted safety checks on aircrafts.
My career in this field allowed me to travel extensively and develop a profound appreciation for different cultures. It also taught me about professionalism, diciplin, working under extreme pressure and time schedules and so much more.
Growing up in a family that highly values travel, exposed me to numerous countries and diverse cultural experiences. This upbringing instilled in me an understanding of the importance of cultural awareness and fueled my curiosity to explore the world even more. While traveling, I discovered a love for capturing the world through videos and photographs.
I also discovered how connected I felt to nature - whether being a walk in the Danish forrest, an Indian jungle, the mountains and ocean of Sri Lanka, the tempels of Vietnam, the desert of New Mexico, the Turquoise stream of Jasper National Park in Canada and I could go on.
Inspired by a documentary and a lecture by renowned Danish photographer Jan Grarup, I became increasingly aware of the power of visual storytelling to highlight the importance of both the beauty and horrifying parts of the world.
This realization has greatly influenced my aspiration to pursue a career in design and content creation. I aim to focus on capturing and celebrating the beauty in everyday moments, a concept I refer to as Digital Dreamscapes . This idea represents my long-term vision of starting my own business, where I can merge my creative skills with my passion for storytelling to inspire and connect with others.
